She left the beach for Boulder, and now has added “broker” to her resume.

Tori Casella is Usaj Realty’s newest associate broker and brings a healthy dose of finance and property management experience to the ranks. She welcomes the challenge that residential real estate brings and is looking forward to expanding her repertoire.

A native of Southern California (Solana Beach), it’s no wonder she spent most of her youth on the ocean. But when it came time to choose a college, she decided it was time for a change of scenery. A BIG change.

From sea level to Boulder’s lofty 5328 feet of elevation, Casella has immersed herself in the Colorado lifestyle and isn’t sure she’ll ever depart. After earning her degree at the University of Colorado, she is now ready to test her skills in the Denver area.

Here’s a little more information about Casella and what she brings to Usaj Realty.

Q: Tell me a little about yourself.

I grew up in a small town called Solana Beach, which is north of San Diego, with my parents and younger sister.  The town is just 2 miles from the beach so during the summer, you could always find me there. My parents still live in the same house I grew up in, so I go back and visit as often as I can.

I always knew I wanted to live in a new place for college, which is how I ended up in Colorado.

Now after being here for 7 years with 2 dogs in tow, I am not sure I will ever leave!

Q: What is your education background?

I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where I received my bachelor’s degree in Finance with a real estate certification. The certification allowed me to enroll in exclusive real estate classes that gave me a jumpstart on my career.

Q. Have you had other careers before becoming a real estate broker? If so, what were they and how has that experience impacted your real estate career?

Previously, I spent the last 3 years in property management with a national firm. I was very fortunate to have worked with such a close knit group that taught me so much about the ins and outs of real estate. I am eager to apply what I have learned in property management to this vertical of the industry.

Q: How did you get interested in real estate?

I chose to get my real estate certification in college because I thought it would be helpful to take classes that related to each other instead of just picking electives. Real estate has always been of interest to me because it is a part of everyone's lives whether they realize it or not. Part of our requirement for this certification was an internship in real estate, which is how I first got into property management. In 2018, when we went through our own process of buying a home is what really opened my eyes to the real estate market and buying/selling. I love that each transaction is different and that you get to personalize each client's experience, while having fun along the way!

Q: What is your favorite neighborhood or suburb of Denver and why?

I love exploring all the different neighborhoods in Colorado. Right now, one of my favorite spots is Englewood, because that is where I live. I love seeing the different character of each of the homes, from the coved ceilings to intricate archways. Many of the houses are getting upgraded and the downtown is becoming revitalized. It is so exciting to watch and be a part of it.

Q: How do you make the buying/selling experience unique for your clients?

I think one of the best ways to understand your clients is to be in their shoes. Being able to go through the process of buying a home in 2018, I understand the emotion and excitement of the experience so my heart will be in every transaction. Whether you are buying or selling, I will work tirelessly to ensure your transaction is smooth and stress-free by listening with care, exhibiting sincerity, and always being in constant communication.

Q: What do you enjoy about the Usaj Realty team?

Jenny and Anton Usaj were extremely welcoming and helpful from the second I met them. I wanted to be a part of a company that felt like family where everyone supports each other, and they have created that environment.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to travel and explore new places!
