New Luxury Condos Coming to Vail

Posted at Apr 9, 2021 9:55:08 AM by Pat O'Connor

As we approach mud season in the mountains and look forward to summer, there are some exciting condominium developments ready to launch in Vail.

The Vail real estate market continues to be extremely hot. Low home inventory, attractive mortgage rates and many more buyers than sellers have seen the escalation of prices up and down the valley.

According to an article in the Vail Daily, the total sales volume in February in the Vail Valley increased 59 percent compared to February of last year. Additionally, there has been a 24 percent increase in the number of homes sold year-over-year (February 2020 compared to February 2021).

Vail’s proximity to the Front Range, its inclusive community, world-class skiing facilities and numerous summer activities are just some of the reasons people choose to have a permanent, retirement or second-home in the valley.

Multi-family homes continue to be an attractive option for people considering a primary residence or vacation home in Vail. On-site amenities, low-maintenance and proximity to shopping, services, recreation and cultural activities often top the “wants and needs” of homebuyers looking for no-muss, no-fuss living.

Three prominent multi-family condominium developments in Vail will soon be added to the luxury real estate market. Two are situated in the heart of Lionshead while the third will provide access to both Golden Peak and Vail Village. Read more about these exciting projects that will add another dimension to Vail’s dynamic residential real estate scene.

The vision for Legacy at Vail Square development began decades ago; now it will become a reality. Bob Lazier, who developed a number of properties in Vail including the iconic Tivoli Lodge, dreamed of one day transforming a decrepit section of Lionshead into a luxury residential showpiece.

This property, which includes part of a parking lot and small building that used to house several retail outlets, is strategically located north of Performance Sports and across from the Lionshead Parking Structure. It is steps away from the Lionshead Gondola and base area, and it goes without saying that the new residents will enjoy captivating views of Vail Mountain.

According to the Legacy website, homeowners will benefit from “unbeatable views and first-class architecture.” Featuring six floors and a variety of floor plans from which to choose, the interior finishes shout out “modern, mountain elegance.” Custom building materials, classy hardwoods and slick marble accent these high-end homes.

One-, two-, three- and four-bedroom homes are available and prices start at $1.895 million.

Walk to all the Lionshead merchants and enjoy nearly instant access to Gore Creek and it’s adjacent bike path. Minutes away from Vail Village, I-70 access and all that makes Vail “like nothing on earth.”
