Habitat for Humanity was the beneficiary of our fundraiser last week at Zuni Street Brewing in LoHi. It was a perfect spring evening to celebrate and raise money for Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver, which builds homes for families in the Denver metro area. The Usaj crew, along with friends, family, and clients, gathered at the brewery to have a great time and support a worthy cause. Together with Zuni Street Brewing, we raised over $3,300! Thank you to all attendees for your generous donations!

Zuni Street Brewing not only served as a gracious co-host for the event but contributed $1 to every beer sold to Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat for Humanity is an organization that builds affordable houses for families in the Denver metro area. The Habitat homeowners’ partnership agreement includes the new homeowners contributing “sweat equity” by building their homes alongside volunteers. Habitat for Humanity helps homeowners by establishing a mortgage plan that is fair and affordable, which increases the chances of a successful living arrangement.

The atmosphere at Zuni Street Brewing was reminiscent of a pleasant summer evening with open garage doors, a positive vibe, and a great ambiance all in support of a good cause.

Although Usaj Realy has been hosting Habitat fundraiser happy hours since 2013, the event was officially named “Hops for Habitat” in the summer of 2015 when the first collaborative event at a local brewery was held. We have a strong attachment to Habitat and strongly believe that investing in it is worthwhile for the betterment of our community.
