Downtown Denver continues to be a popular place to live. Many people want to be close to work  and have the opportunity to access all the things the city had to offer.

Homeowners in The Glass House have discovered the many amazing things that make living there comfortable and worry-free. For those of you who are thinking of moving downtown and are wondering what it would be like to live in the Glass House,  here are some observations of why many love living in this Denver high rise.

Glass House Community

One of the most important things for many residents is the strong sense of community the Glass House provides. There is an amazing  fellowship among the residents. Every Saturday and Sunday morning, the club space on floor 8 is a place to share a continental style breakfast with your neighbors. Folks pop in after their morning workout and everyone gets the chance to catch up. It's a great way to start the weekend.

After breakfast in the summer time, you transition out onto the pool deck where people start to grab their pool chairs early. The day usually consists of friendly conversation, some pool volleyball and a lot of laughing. There is always someone grilling outside, and there are plenty of drinks and banter.

On Sundays, there is a group called the Glass House Sunday Social that coordinates the gathering of the residents for a potluck family meal. The group's founder was a resident who has moved on, but the torch has been picked up by others who keep this awesome Sunday tradition alive.

Game days at the Glass House in Denver are pretty epic. Our residents are rabid fans of the Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and the Broncos. Whether it's a pre-party, post-party or a house party, residents of the Glass House come together for their sports teams, whether in-person or watching on the big screen.

The Glass House Location

When it comes to location, Glass House can't be beat. Situated in the Riverfront Park neighborhood, which is between Lower Highlands (LoHi) and Lower Downtown (LoDo), the great part about Riverfront Park is that there is a large park right in the heart of the city. Commons Park is the oasis out your front door with access to hundreds of miles of bicycle and running trails on Cherry Creek and the South Platte River.

Riverfront Park also has an amazing plaza with shops and restaurants. Anchored by the Millennium Bridge just two blocks away, you have incredible access to all the wonderful restaurants at Union Station and in LoDo. From the upscale Tavernetta to classic pub grub at Public School 303, you'll find an array of restaurants sure to satisfy your taste buds.  Grocery shopping is a breeze at the nearby King Soopers and Whole Foods, too.

The nearby Union Station is lauded by the international development community as the "right" way to do a transportation hub. There are high end restaurants and places to get a cocktail or local craft beer. It's an all-around terrific venue to bring friends and family who visit.

With Union Station comes the Colorado A-Line to Denver International Airport. If you are a business traveler or world traveler, living in the Glass House makes it easy to get to the airport.  It takes under 10 minutes to WALK (and that includes the elevator ride in the building) to the train. Hop on the train and you are at security in under 35 minutes. It's faster than a taxi or a friend dropping you off, and it's a lot cheaper.

Glass House Amenities

If you're considering a move to downtown Denver, be sure to ask yourself what kind of amenities a building should have for your lifestyle. The Glass House is likely to check every one of the boxes. Located on the 8th Floor, the Glass House Pool is one of the largest lap pools in a downtown Denver high rise. Having a pool is often very important to homeowners, especially those who enjoy getting outside.

The building also has a full-service gym and is operated and managed by the Homeowners Association. With up-to-date equipment, High Intensity Training Classes and group workouts, the Riverfront Athletic Club makes is easy to stay in shape. We all know that "getting to the gym" is the hardest part of any workout.

Living downtown has many benefits but one of the challenges is parking. The Glass House has a secured parking garage with electric chargers for eco-friendly vehicles and deeded spaces for your car. If you don't have a car, no problem. There are bicycle stations where you can tune up your bike and top off your tires before you head off into the city.

Having a 24-hour staffed front desk makes life so much easier. These days of being able to order everything online, having a person sign for your packages and securing them is a godsend. Need dog food? No problem. Need wine? They can sign. Need groceries? They'll put them in the 'fridge until you get home. You can even drop off your dry cleaning and they'll make arrangements to have it back by the end of the day. Having a staffed front desk is as close to a hotel concierge as you can get.

People ask, what's so great about living in Denver? Have you seen the views? The Rocky Mountains offer some of the most beautiful views on Planet Earth. Living in the Glass House gives its residents amazing views of the entire Front Range. The pool deck provides a perfect opportunity to enjoy  various fireworks displays during the summer, and its a perfect venue to celebrate a Rockies win.

Conclusion

There are many wonderful places to live in downtown Denver. Living in the Glass House because of all the aforementioned reasons may be right for you! The sense of community and belonging is hard to find in any other neighborhood. The location is second to none. The amenities compare to living in a hotel and the views are extraordinary!
